We offer a completely different approach to waste management.

Most contemporary industrial waste disposal models are large-scale and don't address adequately the relevant environmental issues. For instance, energy-recovery systems generate high levels of emissions and,  at the same time, create a paradoxical demand for waste.

We believe that waste-management, in order to be efficient and affordable, has to be conceived and performed on a smaller, i.e. regional scale, thus adapting to the specificities of each area and, at the same time, respecting global environmental concerns.

In the field of health-care waste, most technologies are capital- and energy- intensive, making them unaffordable for poor countries, despite the fact that in many cases poorer regions are subject to a higher risk of infection and epidemic than in rich countries.
